Mary Agnes P. Jacobs “Pat” of Holland died peacefully at Twining Village on July 28th with her devoted family by her side. She was 80.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of the late Seymour and dearest daughter of the late John W. and Agnes Doyle Byrne and sister of the late Thomas M. Byrne.
Pat, as she was known to her friends, was a resident of Holland for the past 49 years. She was a 1950 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. Pat was a founding member and daily communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Holland and was very active in parish life, including the choir and the seniors’ group. She was proud of her Irish heritage and danced with the Timoney Irish Dancers for many years.
Pat had a great love of life and enjoyed most of all spending time with her family and wide circle of friends. She will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her loving children: Michael H. Jacobs and his wife Ellen O’Brien, Stephen G. Jacobs and his wife Carol, Patrice M. DeMaria and her husband Daniel, and Brian J. Jacobs and his wife Susan. Pat is also survived by her devoted and loving grandchildren: Michael, Ciara, Katharine, Abigail, Thomas, and Basil. She is also survived by her sister Marian W. Beale and her brother John A. Byrne.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings on Wednesday August 1st, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Thursday August 2nd, from 8:15 am to 9:15 am, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 2nd at 10:00 am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
