Robert J. McHugh, of Holland, went home to be with the Lord whom he loved and served on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was 79.
Robert was the beloved husband of Joyce (Elder) McHugh of Holland for 53 years.
Born in Coaldale, PA, he was a son of the late James and Martha (Smith) McHugh. He was preceded in death by 17 brothers and sisters.
Mr. McHugh proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended the Bible Fellowship Evangelical Free Church in Yardley. Robert dearly loved his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. McHugh is survived by his children: Karl R. McHugh and wife Collette McHugh of Clinton, MA, Edward C. McHugh of Park City, UT and Sharon L. Centofanti of Yardley; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 8: 00 a.m. until his Funeral Service at 10:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd. ) Richboro.
Interment with military honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Fulfillment Center, 5455 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43214.
