Joan Davis Orfe of the Village of Neshaminy Falls died peacefully on Tuesday September 4, 2012 at Lansdale Hospital, Lansdale. She was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the loving daughter of the late William J. and Helen Heinz Davis and devoted mother of the late Michael Orfe.

Joan was a resident of the Village of Neshaminy Falls for the past 6 years having formerly been a 48 year resident of Northeast Philadelphia. Joan was a graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls, class of 1949. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Bernard’s Church where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Holy Trinity for 52 years.

Joan was a woman of many talents, her hands crafted needle point like no others. She gave her time and talents to the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts, she served as a Den mother and cookie station, her support of the Phillies was forever. She will be deeply missed by her caring family and supportive friends.

Joan is survived by her loving daughter Deborah Orfe of Frederick MD, her caring sister Helen E. Davis of North Wales and beloved brother William J. and sister in law Maryann Davis of Richboro and nephews William and Christopher, his wife Amy and grand niece, Claire.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday September 7, from 10:30am until her Funeral Mass 12 Noon at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church 1325 Upper State Rd. North Wales, PA 19454.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
