Patricia J. Elliott, of Buckingham, PA died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Arbors at Buck Run, Feasterville. She was 84.

She was the daughter of the late Lauren S. and Estelle Floyd Elliott, and stepsister of the late George Elliott.

Patricia was a resident of Buckingham for many years, and was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Buckingham. She earned a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University, and later completed her master’s degree in education from Columbia University. Her passion was teaching and she truly made it her life’s work. Patricia began her career as a principal at Rydal Elementary School, and later at Hamilton Elementary School. She then became the head principal at Abington Junior High School, where she retired in 1988 after 30 years of service to the school and students. Pat was an active member and past president of the Soroptimist Club. She was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Buckingham.

Patricia loved Nantucket, especially her cottage on the beach, affectionately called Brigadune. She loved to travel and took every opportunity with her companion Kay. In her free time, Pat enjoyed needlework.

She is survived by her companion, Katherine A. Margerum of Feasterville, her cousin: Artie Floyd, and his wife of Deborah, and many friends, past students and colleagues.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 12:00 p.m. until her funeral service at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Trinity Episcopal Church of Buckingham, 2631 Durham Rd., Buckingham.

Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church of Buckingham, 2631 Durham Rd., Buckingham, PA 18912.
