Roy G. Porta
Roy G. Porta of Doylestown son of the late Roy C. Porta, passed away peacefully on Friday November 2, 2012. He was 29.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Doylestown for many years; he was a graduate of Council Rock High School, North and was presently a Culinary Arts student at Bucks County Community College, Newtown. Lately, Roy had been dabbling in day- trading and finding quite a bit of fun and success with it. Roy had faced many obstacles during his lifetime but had always found the courage and resources to get through them. He was an active and enthusiastic member of the 12-step recovery program in Doylestown.
Roy will be sadly missed by his mother, Sharon Hanson, two sisters, Star and Liberty Porta, brother, Justus Porta and his extended family and many dear friends and supporters.
“It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.” - J.R.R. Tolkien-
The date of a memorial service is to be announced. Interment will be held privately with close friends and family.
Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donors’ choice.
