Joan Ackerman Miller of Ann’s Choice, formerly of Churchville for over 48 years, died peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at her home with her family by her side. She was 94.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was the beloved wife of the late Leonard J. Miller and daughter of the late Graham and Irma Garrett Ackerman.

Joan was a graduate of Ohio State University with her degree in Statistics. Joan was the former secretary for over 20 years and life member at North and Southampton Reformed Church, Churchville. She was an active member of Finney’s Corner Questers and Contact of Bucks County a Crisis Intervention Hot Line for many years. Joan loved to read and was a few points shy of being a Life Master in Bridge for which she had a passion. She will be remembered for her quick wit and gentle ways.

Joan is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Chris L. Miller and his wife Jo Ann, her three loving grandchildren; Matthew Miller and his wife Erin, Emily Prager and her husband Jessie, and Rachel Bicksler and her husband Scott and her 2 great grandchildren; Beckett and Elle Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 11:30 AM at the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Road, Churchville, PA 18966.

Interment will be private.

Joan’s family will receive condolences immediately following the service.
