Victoria P. Lombardi of Newtown passed into her eternal life on November 4, 2012.

A native of Philadelphia, Victoria was born to Margaret and William Inverso on December 5, 1947.

Victoria was the beloved wife of 38 years to Dr. Thomas F. Lombardi.

She was educated in the Philadelphia Catholic schools and received her Bachelor's Degree from Holy Family University and her Master’s Degree from Villanova University. During her graduate years, she was unfailingly an honors student.

During her professional career, she was employed by the Philadelphia Catholic schools, for a time with PNB Banking, and she also took time to edit her husband’s major work.

Moreover, Mrs. Lombardi taught literature at Holy Family University and at LaSalle University. Student of the piano and violin, she was also choir director at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown. She was beloved by her students, and was always surrounded by a host of friends who enriched her social life.

Victoria had many interests, among them charitable works at St. Mary Medical Center. She delighted in working with the Benedictine Monks in Still River, Massachusetts, her second home away from home. She also had a profound devotion to St. Padre Pio and visited his Center in Barto, PA weekly. In addition, she published poetry. And furthermore, she was senior proof reader for Folio, which is Holy Family University's literary journal. She and her husband enjoyed being world travelers together. In all of her activities and all of her devotions and all of her interest, one of her greatest loves was the Church. Victoria Lombardi was truly an all around Renaissance woman, living a life that one cannot so casually pass by.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, November 9th from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:00am at St. Anne ’s Chapel at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.

Entombment will follow at the Shrine Cemetery.

Luncheon will immediately follow in the Shrine cafeteria.

In lieu of flowers, Mass cards would be appreciated.
