Donald O. Chase, of Newtown, died peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at his home with his family by his side. He was 79.

Born in Philadelphia, Don was the beloved husband of the late Carrie M. Johnson Chase and son of the late George E. and Elsie L. Trouts Chase.

Don was a resident of Newtown for the past 47 years. He was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1951, and attended LaSalle University and Drexel University. He was a Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning Engineer, having worked for several companies before founding Chase and Associates in 1993.

Don was an active and faithful member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church, Newtown, serving on the Board of Trustees and Captain of the ushers for many years, he also was a member of the Newtown Lions Club, and in his youth was a member of the Philadelphia Boys Choir. An advocate for the youth, he was one of the founders of Council Rock Wrestling Association and the Council Rock Football Boosters Club. Don was a firm believer in family; he also coached his sons in Baseball and his daughter in Softball.

A man of many interests, knowledge of his faith and American History where just 2 topics that where near and dear to him. He looked forward to fishing trips to Stone Harbor and Spring Lake New Jersey and traveling with his family. He will be deeply missed by his devoted family and friends.

Don is survived by his loving children; Donald F. Chase and his wife Sherry of Doylestown, Brian S. Chase and his wife Cindy of San Ramon CA, Richard K. Chase and his wife Lisa of Doylestown and Carrie Lynne Juba and her husband Bill of Newtown, his 2 sisters Dot Russo and Nancy Lomas both of Richboro. He is also survived by his 11 dear grandchildren; Benjamin, Zachary, Nicholas, Allison, Jared, Eric, Ryan, Carrie Anne, Caroline, Kevin and Elizabeth Hope.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday evening December 5, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.(at Holland Rd.) Richboro, and to his Funeral Service Thursday 11:00 AM at the Newtown Presbyterian Church Washington Ave. and Chancellor St. Newtown, PA. 18940.

The family will receive condolences immediately following the service and the Interment will be private.
