Franklin R. Banford of Holland died on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his residence. He was 75.

Franklin was the beloved husband of 19 years to Arlene J. Danilak.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William J. and Edna Ackerman Banford and was predeceased in death by his first wife Elisabeth Melchisedech Banford and his brother Harry Banford.

Franklin was a resident of Holland for 29 years having formerly resided in Philadelphia. He had accomplished over 35 years of Civil Service which included the Air Force and also a Manager with the IRS in Philadelphia until his retirement. In his leisure time, he enjoyed gardening, baseball and was an avid reader. Franklin will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife Arlene, Franklin is survived by his children, Steven R. Banford and his wife Christine of Quakertown and Jean E. Ennis and her husband Gary of Ivyland. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, William Banford of Philadelphia, Edna Jankowski of Southampton, Frederick Banford of Philadelphia, and Winston Banford of Bryn Mawr and his three cherished grandchildren, Jared, Chase and Benjamin.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, December 5th from 9:00am until his Funeral Service 10:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
