Richard J. Dudek Sr. of Holland, PA died on Friday, December 7, 2012, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 74.

He was the beloved husband of Loretta M. Stefanik Dudek for 53 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen and Josephine Pietrolanies Dudek and brother of the late Dolores Dudek and Stephen J. Dudek.

Mr. Dudek was a resident of Holland for the past 40 years. He graduated from North Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1956. He was a proud veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a scarfer in the rolling division at U.S. Steel in Fairless Hills for 30 years before his retirement in 1988. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and cultivating his vegetable garden. Being family oriented he always enjoyed the special times spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his three children, Loretta-Jo Menzen and her husband, David, of Germantown, MD, Colleen Forman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Richboro, PA and Richard J. Dudek Jr. and Kim Valentin of Holland, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Henry Dudek of Royersford, PA, his eight grandchildren, Danielle Kelly, LTjg. Stephanie Menzen, Ciara Forbes, Emily Menzen, Anthony Forman, David Menzen Jr., Nicholas J. Dudek, Cailyn T. Dudek, and three great grandchildren, Keira and Conor Kelly and Annabelle Forbes.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Monday evening, December 10, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, December 11, 2012, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland.

Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
