Florence L. Shollar Hornickle of Newtown died peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Friends Nursing Home at Chandler Hall, Newtown. She was 88.

Florence was the beloved wife of the late Frederick E. Hornickle.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Harriett L. Charlton Shollar.

Florence has been a resident of Newtown for the past 4 years. Prior to moving to Holland in 1980, she formerly lived in Bensalem for several years. Florence enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. Being family oriented, she cherished the special times spent with her family. Her face would light up when she saw her grandchildren and great grandchildren.. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her 4 loving daughters; Florence Moon and her husband, Hugh Robert, of Apple Valley, MN, Beverly Fletcher and her husband, William, of Sellersville, PA, Lorraine Brown and her husband, Doyle, of Tampa, FL, and Jill Mascaro of Doylestown, PA. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, December 13, 2012, from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Service 10:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment will follow at 1:00PM at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
