Catherine Walsh of Blooming Glen, PA died peacefully on December 11, 2012 at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 61.

Born in Philadelphia she was the beloved wife of 29 years to Joseph P. Walsh III.

She was the daughter of Rita Boyce Moore and the late Gerald Moore.

Cathy was a resident of Blooming Glen since 1993, she was a graduate of Conwell-Egan High School, class of 1969 and a graduate of Penn State University in 1973 with her degree in Elementary Education, she taught for a while at St. Francis Cabrini School, St. Eleanor School and most recently Kids Care through Pennridge School District. Cathy was a very talented poet and writer, many of her poems have been published and also a book she wrote, “Shut up and Get in Line” a humorous take on Catholic school education.

Cathy was a communicant of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church in Hilltown; she was a Pro Life advocate and a member of the Bucks County Magnificat. Family came first and foremost in her life; her grandchildren were the smile on her face and the laughter in her voice.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her 2 daughters and son; Tina Wilson and her husband Scott, Katie Lorenzon and her husband Justin, and Joseph P. Walsh IV. She is also survived by her brother Gerald Moore III and her 4 devoted grandchildren; Jordan, Scott, Nicholas and Elycia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday December 18, from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:30am at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Route 152 and Broad St. Hilltown.

Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Pro Life Charities, 222 N 17th St. Philadelphia, PA 19103.
