Frank E. Bahr of Ivyland, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 82.

He was the beloved husband of Catherine E. Zobel Bahr for 61 years.

Born in Bristol, PA, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Marie Wunsch Bahr and brother of the late Joseph Bahr and Sr. Mary Patricia Bahr, I.H.M.

Mr. Bahr was a resident of Ivyland for the past 10 years and spent all of his life in Bucks County. Frank graduated from North Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1948. He was a proud Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. Before retiring in 1992, he was employed for 46 years at Hillcrest Dairies in Bensalem, PA. Frank was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro where he was very active. He was a former lector, Eucharistic Minister, and collected for the annual Catholic Charities Appeal. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He was a devoted fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams. Being family oriented, he enjoyed the special times spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his six children, Patricia A. Coe and her husband, Chuck, of Manassas, VA, Joseph F. Bahr and his wife, Cora, of Langhorne, Karen M. Mack of East Haven, CT, Frank E. Bahr Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Bristol, Gregory M. Bahr and his wife, Kathleen, of Bensalem, and Kristen A. Corcoran and her husband, Larry, of Bethlehem, PA. He is also survived by his two sisters, Dolores Mitchell of Cape Coral, FL, Clare Edelmayer of North Wales, PA, his 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Friday evening, December 14, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM.

Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to National Parkinson’s Foundation, P.O. Box 5018, Gift Processing Center, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
