Stella E. Uchman Pope of Warminster passed away peacefully at Princeton Medical Center on February 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving children. She was 85.

Stella was the beloved wife of the late Howard L. Pope Sr.

Stella was born in Stryj, Poland, (present day Ukraine) she was the
daughter of the late Marian Uchman and Helen Uchman.

Stella was taken from her parents at the age of 17 during WWII and forced to work in a Nazi labor camp. After the war ended she was waiting her return home at a DP (displaced person) camp in Munich, Germany. It was here she met and married Howard Pope Sr. during the Berlin airlift and came to the US in October 1949.

Stella is survived by her loving and devoted children; Howard L. Pope, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Tucson, AZ, Richard H. Pope of Flemington, NJ, Monica M. Doumanis and her husband Lee. Of Manalapan, NJ, and Renee A. D’Angelo and her husband David of New Hope, PA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Stella was a strong and generous soul and a survivor until the end. She will be missed and loved forever.

Stella’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 7, 2012, from 11:00 AM until her Memorial Service 12:00PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private.
