Thelma Eutermoser, of Doylestown, died on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Wesley Enhanced Living. She was 97.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Eutermoser and the late Theodore Harrington, Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Sophie Winterstein Tuckmantel. Thelma graduated from Kensington High School two years early, attended business school and worked for Exide Battery. In 1939, she married Fred Eutermoser and they had two sons.

Thelma had a joyful spirit, never complaining and always compassionate. She loved her family, music, her faith and entertaining.

In Spirit she was always an active church member, first at Hatboro Baptist Church and then for 54 years at New Britain Baptist Church. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School at all age levels, led Bible studies and was very active in the American Baptist Women’s Association.

At work she was an executive in Olney Pipe Products for many years, helping to lead the company after the loss of her husband in 1971.

In community service she was Worthy Grand Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star. She also served as a member of the board of Heritage Towers, where she was instrumental in the transition to Evangelical Manor. Thelma was recently recognized for her stabilizing efforts during their 30th Anniversary Celebration. Thelma lost her beloved husband in 1971, but re-married in 1985. Her second husband passed away in 1999, but through it all she never faltered and showed everyone who came in contact with her what it meant to be a Child of God.

She is survived by her sons, Fred and his wife Linda, Mark and his wife Renay, her sister Doris Marlin, her grandchildren: Sheri O'Brien, Troy Eutermoser, Janine Clark, Jeremy Lothian, Drew Eutermoser and Ted Harrington IV, and by her 9 great-grandchildren. Additionally, she was predeceased, by her stepson Theodore Harrington III, her sister Eleanor Benner, and 2 brothers, Fred and Warren Tuckmantel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service,11 am Saturday, February, 9, 2013, at New Britain Baptist Church, 22 East Butler Ave. (PO Box 5147), New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will be held privately at Chelten Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to New Britain Baptist Church at the above address or to the Benevolent Fund at Wesley Enhanced Living, 200 Veterans Lane, Doylestown, PA 18901.
