Peter Anthony Crescitelli of Chalfont, PA died peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 24, 2013. He was 72.
He was the beloved husband of 18 years to Judith A. Reyner Crescitelli.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Americo A. and Anna Rose DiTullio Crescitelli and brother of the late Maria Crescitelli and Angela Dreyer.
Mr. Crescitelli was a resident of Chalfont for the past 20 years. After serving 22 years as a medic in the U.S. Navy, he retired as a Senior Chief. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. During his military career, he exhibited courage and heroism as he did throughout his life and was an inspiration to his family and friends.
He had a natural talent for art and one of his many paintings is on display at Doylestown Hospital. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, playing chess and cribbage and was truly a renaissance man.
He always liked remodeling and working on home projects. His love for his family came first and foremost. He was a proud grandfather who cherished the special times spent with his grandchildren. Being family oriented, he will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his five children, Peter A. Crescitelli Jr. of Quakertown, Scott A. Williams and his wife Lynda of Philadelphia, Jennifer Bassett of Stuart, FL, Brian D. Williams and his wife Jenna of Philadelphia, Michael L Williams and his wife Mollie of United Arab Emirates, his brother Ralph Crescitelli and his wife Lynn of Buckingham, and his 2 sisters, Roseanne Murray of Bradford, NY, and Susan Reinert and her husband Ralph of Doylestown. He is also survived by his 7 loving grandchildren: Danielle, Jordan, Olivia, Sloan, Simon, Cooper, and Timothy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 8:30 AM until 10:15 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Jude Church, Chalfont. His interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
