Emilie Pelaccio Mussro, born November 7, 1922, passed away peacefully at 3:40 PM Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, PA surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old.

Emilie was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Mussro Sr. and the sister of the late Carmen Pelaccio, Anna Pelaccio Gigliotti, and Ronald Pelaccio.

Born in St Valentino, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Angiola Riparini Pelaccia.

Emilie came with her parents to the United States from Italy in 1935 and lived in Peekskill, NY nearly 64 years before moving to Doylestown, PA 14 years ago. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Emilie brought with her the strong Italian traditions of family and food. She was a woman of several special and unique talents. Emilie enjoyed using her Italian culinary, gardening, and baking skills. She was also an avid seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting and knitting for the whole family as well.

We all remember the lemon meringue, blueberry, and apple pies and most of all her famous chocolate chip cookies! She united the family around the supper table. Her love was expressed in person with big Italian dinners (manicotti, ravioli, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana and mouth-watering desserts). She bridged long distances with massive care packages (clippings on helpful topics, crocheted items, cookies, and provolone). She will be deeply missed.

Emilie came to know her Savior, Jesus Christ, personally 2 years ago before slipping deeper into dementia. We praise God that we will be united with her one day again in glory.

Emilie is survived by her two loving children, Nicholas J. Mussro Jr. and his wife Nancy of Doylestown, PA and Robert J. Mussro and his wife Penny of Baton Rouge, LA. She is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren, Jennifer L. Mussro of Philadelphia, PA, N. Joseph Mussro III of Pittsford, NY, Kara A. Mussro Ruiz and her husband Timothy of Trinity, FL, Eileen N. Mussro Arias and her husband Angel of Quakertown, PA, Jessica L. Mussro, and Angelina N. Mussro of Pendleton, SC, and her six very special great grandchildren: Gabriel, Isabella, Emma, Angelina, Adrian, and a 6th due shortly.

A private funeral service and interment were held.
