Edward J. Fossett, Jr., of Swainton, NJ (formerly of Bonita Springs, FL, Yardley, PA and Northeast Phila.), died on April 15, 2013 at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center. He was 87.
Edward was the beloved husband of 65 years to the late Margaret M. Fossett.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward J., Sr. and Eleanor K. McGonigle Fossett, and brother of the late John J. Fossett.
Edward was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School for Boys, Class of 1944 and earned his bachelor degree in Business Administration from La Salle University in 1952. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served from 1944 to 1946 aboard the LST 994 during World War II. He was employed by A.P. Green Industries in Philadelphia for 36 years before retiring as the Eastern Regional Sales Manger. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golf, tennis and basketball.
Edward is survived by his children, Edward J. Fossett III and his wife Susan, John Charles Fossett and his wife Joanne, Michael F. Fossett and his wife Cherie, Thomas J. Fossett and his wife Karin, Kathleen Phillips, Mary Ellen Roberts and her husband Michael, Joseph P. Fossett and Michelle Bray and her husband Brian, and his brother: Harry W. Fossett, husband of Maureen. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. from the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 999 Reading Ave., Yardley, PA 19067.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice can be made in his memory.
