Joan E. Beattie Reck of Southampton, PA died peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Sunrise of Abington surrounded by her loving family. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of 54 years to George H. Reck Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Schenk Beattie of Fox Chase and sister of the late Beatrice Beattie.

Joan was the Executive Assistant to the President of Harold Beck & Sons, and was an accomplished artist and avid golfer. She will always be remembered and sorely missed as a loving wife, mother, and Nana

In addition to her beloved husband, Joan is survived by her loving children; Jim Reck of Phoenix, Az, Linda Reck and her partner Karen Hill of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Tom Reck and his wife Eva of Cape Elizabeth, ME. She is also survived by her grandchildren Oskar, Simon, Filip and Matilda.

Joan’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 11:00 am until her Funeral Mass 12:00PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave. (at 2nd Street Pike) Southampton, PA 18966.

Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
