Virginia M. Gervasio of Newtown died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her residence. She was 74.
Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Robert Gervasio.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Virginia was the daughter of the late Domenic and Frances DiFazio Leotta and the sister of the late John Leotta.
Virginia was a former resident of Dix Hills, Long Island, New York and Jupiter, Florida before moving to Newtown in 2009. She was a School Secretary for over 20 years in the Half Hollow Hills School District in Long Island, New York until her retirement. She was a Communicant of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown and in her leisure time enjoyed playing cards with her friends, traveling and going to the theater. Virginia will be deeply missed by her family and by all who came to know her.
Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Denise M. Cronk and her husband Joseph of Newtown and Deborah A. DiBenedetti of Parkland, FL. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mary Agosta of Cape Coral, FL and Anne Mortillaro of Brooklyn, her brother Richard Leotta of Brooklyn and her four cherished grandchildren, Jason, Allison, Briana and Nicole.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 12:00pm until her Funeral Mass 1:30pm at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
