Jeanne Brisbin Smith of Hartsville, PA died peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 88.

She was the beloved wife of Robert Lindley Smith for 66 years.

Born in Brooklawn, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William Chester and Elsie Frederick Haendle Brisbin.

Mrs. Smith was a resident of Hartsville for 52 years. For 30 years, she was co-owner of Petticoat Junction in Doylestown. As recently as three weeks ago, she often lent a hand and visited with customers at her daughter’s business, Caldwells Embroidery located in Doylestown.
She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her two children, Barbara Smith Caldwell and her husband, James, of Doylestown, and Robert Lindley Smith Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Stamford, CT. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Welch of Newtown, PA, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services and interment will be private.
