Charles E. Williams, Jr. of Ocean City, NJ and Naples, FL (formerly of Chalfont, PA) died on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Penn-Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia at the age of 66.

Charles is predeceased by his beloved wife of forty-one years, Romayne C. (Gill) Williams; his parents Charles E. Williams, Sr. and Dorothy (Held) Williams and brother, Robert Williams.

Charles is survived by his devoted sons and their spouses, Brett and Stephanie Williams and Mark and Claire Williams and grandfather of Chase, Maddox, Makynna, Austin and Charlotte.

Charles was brother and brother-in-law of Cathy Hurley (James), Ginny Freyer (Lou), Tom Williams (Mary Jane), Mark Williams (Connie), Rich Williams, Michael Williams (Maggie) and the late Robert Williams (Linda). Lovingly remembered uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Chick was a family man, first and foremost, the eldest of eight and always a presence or host at family gatherings.

Charles was born in Abington, PA on April 30, 1947 and graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School. He had a long career at Verizon and enjoyed rich, life-long friendships with many school and work mates.

In addition to family and friends, he (and wife, “Rosie”) loved entertaining in both their homes. Charles was a wonderful cook and also enjoyed dancing, travel and music of all kinds.

Charles’ family will receive condolences on Monday evening June 3, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Tuesday at St. John Bosco Church, 235 E. County Line Rd., Hatboro from 9:30 to until his Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m.

Private internment will be held at Hatboro Cemetery, Hatboro, PA.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to St. Agnes Church, 7775 Vanderbilt Beach Rd., Naples, FL 34120.
