Ruth G. Nuss, of Holland, passed away on May 31, 2013 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. She was 79.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Ivins George and the beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Harry C. Nuss.

Ruth was a resident of Bucks County her entire life. She grew up in Churchville and after getting married moved to Southampton. Ruth was proud to have had the opportunity to stay at home and raise her family. She especially enjoyed family vacations in Ocean City. She became an Ophthalmic Assistant and worked at an ophthalmology practice for 20 years. She was an active member of North and Southampton Reformed Church and was active in the woman’s circle. After becoming settled at Twining Village, Ruth became part of the welcoming committee and volunteered in the gift shop, among other activities. In her free time, Ruth enjoyed gardening and exercising, sometimes walking up to four miles in an evening. Most of all, she cherished her family and the times spent with them. She will be dearly missed.

Ruth is survived by her sons: Brad Nuss, husband of Jill of Glen Arm, MD and Roger Nuss, husband of Kim of Wayland, MA; and her grandchildren: Scott, Grant, Emily, Sarah, Charles and Julia.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 1:00 pm until her Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on Saturday June 22 at the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Rd., Churchville PA 18966.

Interment will be private.
