Katherine Augusta DiRugeris, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 4, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was 47.

She was the beloved wife of 21 years to Stephen M. DiRugeris, Sr.

Born in Meadowbrook, PA, Kate was the daughter of Marianne Cameron Schmid of Warminster and the late Richard J. Schmid.

Kate graduated in 1983 from Archbishop Wood High School, and continued her education at Gettysburg College, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting in 1987. Kate worked for various accounting firms and business throughout the area.

Kate was the consummate wife and mother; she was a school Mom at Gayman Elementary, CCD Teacher at Our Lady of Guadalupe and team mother for her son’s football team. Family trips to the beach where always especially enjoyable with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted family and many friends.

In addition to her devoted husband and mother, Kate is survived by her son: Stephen M. DiRugeris Jr., her brothers: Richard Schmid of Warminster and Joseph Schmid, and his wife of Lori of Quakertown; her sister: Mary Shannon and her husband Joseph of Skippack; her Mother and Father-in-law Merino and Mary DiRugeris of Holland and many other loving family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) Doylestown, PA 18901 and on June 8, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Rd., Doylestown, PA 18901.

Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Doylestown, PA 18902 in Kate’s name.
