Otto S. Schneider of Newtown, PA died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. He was 70.

He was the beloved husband of 44 years to Gertrude “Trudy” Ontjes Schneider.

Born in Erfurt, Germany, he was the son of the late Josef and Helene Vedder Schneider.

Mr. Schneider was a resident of Upper Makefield Township for the past 24 years. For 35 years he was the owner of Schneider Restoration, Inc., using his excellent masonry skills to repair damage and rehabilitate buildings. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Otto was a 47 year member of the Free & Accepted Masons, first in Philadelphia and for the past 17 years at the Newtown Lodge No. 427.

Otto loved to sail, fish with his dear friend Robert Apeldorn and vacation in Aruba. In his younger years, he and his wife Trudy enjoyed skiing. Most of all, Otto loved his family, especially his little granddaughter Sophia. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his two sons, O. Steven Schneider Jr. of Upper Makefield Township and Eric O. Schneider and his wife, Claudine, of Yardley, PA. He is also survived by his two sisters, Helen O’Leary and Petra Link Keller, of Winter Haven, FL and his granddaughter, Sophia Emmy Schneider.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 9:00 AM until his Masonic Service at 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Service 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Masonic Charities, One Masonic Dr. Elizabethtown, PA 17022
