Mary Bridget McCartin of Newtown died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Chandler Hall Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence McCartin.
Born in Ballinamore, County Leitrim, Ireland, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth McCartin Canning and sister to the late Patrick Canning, Chris Canning, Helen Canning Tynan, Thomas Canning Johnny Canning and Tony Canning.
Mary was a long time resident of Bucks County being one of the original owners in Levittown, later moving to Yardley before moving to Newtown in 2007. Mary was extremely family oriented and devoted her love and affection to her late husband Larry and her cherished family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who came to know her.
Mary is survived by her children, Mary Beth Baltz and her husband William of Levittown, Karen Ann Crowley and her husband William of Levittown, Elaine McCartin Kilroy of Newtown, Daniel J. McCartin of Levittown and Brian L. McCartin and his wife Theresa of Richboro. Mary is also survived by her sister Lily Behrens of Port Orange Florida, brother Charlie Canning of New York, New York, her sister Margaret Voity of Southbury, CT and her 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday, October 13th from 8:30am until her Funeral Mass 9:30am in the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore St., Newtown, PA 18940.
Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
