Catherine Marie Lenahan Stauffer, of Doylestown, died on Monday, July 1, 2013, at Pine Run Lakeview. She was 93.

She was the beloved wife of the late Cornelius G. Stauffer.

Born in Ashley, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Manus and Mary Daly Lenahan and sister of the late Joseph Lenahan, Margaret Breslin, Michael Lenahan, and Manus Lenahan.

Catherine grew up in Ashley, PA and was a graduate of St. Leo’s High School. She moved to Philadelphia in the 1940’s where she was a faithful parishioner of Maternity BVM Parish in Bustleton, before moving to Chalfont in 1989. Her church involvement continued at St. Jude participating in many activities and supporting the various organizations with her time and talents.

Throughout her life, Catherine had a loving and outgoing personality with a great sense of style and fashion which made her a friend to many. She was constantly reading and was always knowledgeable of current events and comfortable having a conversation with anyone about any topic. However, her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren, who loved her dearly.

For the past 2 ½ years, Catherine has been a resident of Pine Run Lakeview where she became friends with many of the residents and staff through her kindness and her “smile”.

She is survived by her children; Robert G. Stauffer and his wife Joanne of Willis, VA, Mary L. Hermann and her husband Dr. Christopher of Chalfont, and Kathleen A. Hill of Chester Springs, PA. She is also survived by her sister Helen Lowder of Philadelphia, her 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave. Chalfont, PA 18914.

Her interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
