Henry T. “Hank” Aleski of Doylestown died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown. He was 90.
Born in Philadelphia, beloved husband of Jean A. Skowronski Aleski, he was one of six children of the late Peter and Anna Krzywicka Aleszczyk.
Known as “Hank” to his friends, he resided in Bucks County for the past 30 years having formerly lived in Willow Grove and Ambler.
Upon graduating Northeast High School, Class of 41’, he joined the United States Army-Air Corps and attained the rank of Corporal. He was a member of American Legion Post #0821. After 30 years with Leeds and Northrup Corp. as an Industrial Engineer he retired in 1980.
Hank was proud of his Polish heritage and was a generous supporter of the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown. He was active with the Polish High School Alumni. As an accomplished player of the piano and accordion, he used his musical talents as member of the Polish American String Band. He will be sadly missed by all who came to know him.
Hank is survived by his sister, Helen M. Burnell and her husband Eugene and his brother Leonard Aleszczyk and his wife Irene. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 , from 11:30 am until his Funeral Mass 12:30 pm in the Cemetery Barn Chapel of the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.
Interment will follow in the Shrine Cemetery.
