Michael L. Cobb of Chalfont passed away and went home to the Lord Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Holiday, Fla. He was 46.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Robert T. and Judith Ann Cobb and was the half brother of the late Robert A. and Bruce D. Cobb.
Mike moved to Central Bucks in 1978 as a young boy with his family. He attended Central Bucks West High School, Class of 1985, and also attended the Middle Bucks Area Vocational Technical School where he learned welding, and how to be an auto body technician. Mike was mechanically inclined and was able to fix, customize and or fabricate many things he worked on. He was also a truck driver, had a CDL class A license and had many years experience working in the local surrounding areas, operating everything from tri-axle stone hauling trailers, to tri-axle dump trucks, to cement mixers and hauling heavy equipment on lowboy and tandem axle trailers.
Mike also was a motorcycle enthusiast for many years, loved the outdoors and liked to be one with nature. He was an NRA member and supported the S.P.C.A., he was an animal lover and pet rescuer who was known to put other people and pets before himself regularly. Mike was a caring and compassionate kind hearted soul with a lighthearted spirit who loved to laugh and have fun with those who knew him, he had a unique talent to make those around him laugh heartily as he had a great sense of humor as well.
He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him, especially those in his family, and his close circle of friends who loved him the most.
Mike is survived by his loving brother, David T. Cobb; his niece, Cassandra T. Cobb; nephews, Adam J. Brautigan and David T. Cobb II; half sister, Debra Spressert; half brother, Jonathan Cobb, as well as many other loving family members of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Mike’s family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 1:00PM until his memorial service at 2:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Bucks County S.P.C.A. or to the Humane Society.
