Mary Vascavage of Doylestown died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was 84.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Vascavage.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Milan and Mary Harikal Sokolovich and predeceased by her 5 sisters.

Mary was a former resident of New Hope and Warrington before moving to Doylestown in 1988. She was the owner of F.X. Dougherty Home and Gift Store in Doylestown since 1976, that she operated along with her two daughters. In her leisure, she enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Mary enjoyed a good game of Bridge and playing scrabble. She will be remembered for her keen sense of humor that she shared with everyone. Mary will be deeply missed by her family and by all who came to know her.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Maureen Tompkins of Doylestown and Michelle Vascavage and her husband Raymond Makos of Doylestown. She is also survived by her brother Stephen Sokolovich of Wilkes-Barre, her cherished grand daughter Ali Makos, her niece Sharon and her nephew Jerry.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, August 23rd from 7:00-9:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain and on Saturday, August 24th from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State St. Doylestown.

Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
