William T. Lynch, PhD., of Spring House died peacefully with his devoted daughter by his side on Friday August 30, 2013. He was 73.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of the late William T. and Julia Badie Lynch.

Dr. Lynch was a graduate of Girard College in Philadelphia; he received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Drexel University and his PhD in Pharmacology from Jefferson Medical College.

Dr. Lynch was a Research Toxicologist for Lederle Laboratories in Spring Valley, New York; he then went to work for Rohm and Haas (now Dow Chemical) as a Toxicology Manager for Agricultural Chemicals at their Spring House research site; Dr. Lynch later became an Agricultural Chemicals Product Registration Manager for Rohm and Haas at the Philadelphia Home Office.

He was a man of many talents, enjoyed traveling, reading, walking at Silver Lake, the Jersey Shore, listening to classical music, and visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art and attending performances of the Philadelphia Orchestra with his daughter, Cynthia.

He was very well-liked, and his intelligence, smile, kindness, and sense of humor will be missed.

Dr. Lynch is survived by his 3 caring children, Cynthia Lynch, Pamela McNulty and her husband Joseph, and William T. Lynch, II. He is also survived by his sister and brother, Marianne Dittus and John Lynch, and his granddaughter Amy McNulty, 2 nieces and a nephew, Barbara Lynch, mother of his children, his loving classmates from Girard College’s Class of 1957, and his “grandcat” Fitz.
