Frank J. McFadden, Jr. of Ivyland, formerly of Levittown, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on August 30, 2013. He was 70.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Catherine Foley McFadden, and the beloved husband of 48 years to Novelle A. Harshaw McFadden.

Frank proudly served our country in Vietnam in the U.S. Army. Frank was previously employed by O’Boyles Ice Cream Co. in Bristol for 20 plus years and retired in 2007 from Jack and Jill Ice Cream Co. as a cold storage warehouse supervisor. Frank enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, playing cards, watching old movies, and music from his era. He traveled extensively with his family including trips to Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, and Panama. Although Frank was a man of few words, he had a gift for showing his love and respect for his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his daughters: Dena N. Smith, and her husband Don of Buckingham and Crista M. Aspinwall and her husband Rick of Buckingham; brothers: Patrick McFadden and his wife Shirley, Daniel McFadden and his wife Debbie, and Jack McFadden and his wife Perke; sister: Cathy Carr and her husband Rich; grandchildren: Richie Ciarlante, Hailey and Blake Aspinwall, Donald Smith III and Lauren Smith-Frey; and great granddaughter: Fey Marie. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Frank’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 11:30 am until his Memorial Service at 1:00 pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
