Veronica M. Pomponi of Quakertown, PA died peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2013, at Lifequest Nursing Center in Quakertown. She was 96.

She was the beloved wife for 75 years of the late Anthony J. Pomponi who predeased her on January 16, 2013.

Born in Philadelphia, PA,she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Santos Rozanski. She was predeceased by her 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She was a resident of Quakertown for the past 5 years and formerly lived in Northeast Philadelphia. As a young girl growing up she was raised in the Richmond section of the city. For several years, she was the owner of Ronnie’s Candy Store.

She loved to cook and was an excellent baker. Among her family and friends she was especially known for her famous apple pies. Along with her husband she enjoyed travelling to different places and would never pass up an opportunity to dance. In her leisure time, Veronica liked bowling, crocheting and knitting.

She will be sadly missed as a loving mother, “Nana”, great grandmother and special aunt to several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy A. Bennett of Quakertown, her son, James Pomponi and his wife, Carla, of Littleton, CO, 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, September 6, 2013, from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Isidore Church, 2545 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.

Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA
