Stephen J. Dobron of Newtown, PA died surrounded by his devoted family on Monday, September 2nd, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 79.

Mr. Dobron was the beloved husband of Theresa M. Bruni Dobron for 58 years.

Born in Trenton, NJ he was the son of the late Stephen A. and Margaret A. Kurtz Dobron.

Stephen was the quintessential “Jack of all trades”, if it was broke he could fix it, if it didn’t exist he could build it. He was employed for may years with U.S. Steel at the Fairless Works, the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections, and the Water Works Community in New Hope. In his leisure, Stephen also enjoyed gardening, spending time in his Western Pennsylvania mountain retreat, working on and driving his 1954 Chevy, traveling, shopping, and regular road trips to South Carolina. He prided himself on his various successes as an amateur day trader, but above everything else he treasured the quality times and memories that he spent with his beloved family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Stephen is survived by his children Stephen L. Dobron of Newtown, Barbara A. Dobron of Belleair, FL, Christine M. Iannace of Seaville, NJ, Lois J. Dobron of Newtown, and Michael D. Dobron and his wife Lorraine of Ivyland, PA. He is also survived by his 3 siblings Richard, Irene, and Gerald Dobron, 8 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, September 7th, from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mary Medical Center Foundation, 1717 Langhorne-Newtown Rd. 1 Summit Square Suite 300 Langhorne, PA 19047.
