Beverly B. Edwards (Bryan)
Beverly B. Edwards, a long time resident of Doylestown, died Friday September 20, 2013 at Clare Bridge of Montgomery surrounded by her loving family. She was 79.
Beverly was the beloved wife to the late Raymond Edwards.
Born in Montoursville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Loretta Fausey Bryan and mother of the late Bryan Edwards and sister of the late Dorothy Balliet.
Beverly was a graduate of Montoursville High School Class of 1952 and a graduate of Bloomsburg University Class of 1956 where she met her husband and eventually moved to Bucks County in1965. She was an accomplished educator in Bucks County for many years until her retirement in 1993. Beverly taught at Gayman School for 22 years where she was Mrs. Claus at Christmas. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Soriety group. Beverly enjoyed oil painting many subjects and spending time in the Poconos and enjoyed traveling to many places which included but not limited to Alaska, Florida and England. She was a member of the Civil War Society and a member of the Tinicum United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school.
Beverly is survived by her son Kurt Edwards and his wife Victoria of Pipersville, her grandson Sgt. Ryan Snyder, US Army, her great grandson Cody William Snyder. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Ralph Balliet, her nieces Lori and her husband Todd Zimmerman and Wendy Balliet and great nieces Kayla Zimmerman and her husband Eric Miller and Brooke Zimmerman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday September 25th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue, (at Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain, PA 18901. Services and interment will be privately held by the family.
If so desired, contributions in her memory may be made to the Gayman Elementary School, 4440 Point Pleasant Pike, Doylestown, PA 18901.
