Vincent J. Keenan of Langhorne, PA died on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 84.
He was the beloved husband of Rita Keenan (Madden) for 59 years.
Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Lonergan) Keenan.
Mr. Keenan was a resident of Langhorne for the past fifty years. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School, Mineola, NY. He also attended Fordham University, Bronx, NY, where he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Keenan was a proud Army veteran having served his country in Japan. His professional career spanned many years with RCA where he held the title of Regional Sales Manager. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, was an avid reader and he loved the Philadelphia Eagles. Mr. Keenan enjoyed his many friends in the community and was especially pleased engaging in conversations full of political banter. He also cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren and was very proud of each of their varied accomplishments. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his five children, Vincent J. Keenan Jr. and his wife, Cindi, of Langhorne, Paul Keenan and his wife, Lisa, of Doylestown, Nancy Huffman of Naperville, IL, Timothy J. Keenan and his wife, Diane, of Jamison, and Mary Mullen and her husband, Thomas, of Downingtown, PA. He is also survived by his 17 loving grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 7, 2013, from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA.
Interment will take place at St. Andrew Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mary Medical Center Foundation, One Summit Square- Suite 300, 1717 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne, PA 19047.
