William F. Feather, of Washington Crossing, died peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne with his beloved wife at his side. He was 78.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in the Mayfair section, he was the beloved husband of over 50 years to Patricia A. Foody Feather and son of the late William and Emilie Keller Feather.

Bill was a resident of Holland for over 36 years before moving to Washington Crossing 11 years ago. He was a faithful communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish while living in Holland.

Bill was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1953. After graduation, he proudly served our country for two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged, he received his Bachelors Degree in business at Temple University, graduating in 1959.

After college, Bill began his career in the Security business. During this time he served a term as President of the Investment Traders Association of Philadelphia and was also a board member of the National Association.

He met his future wife Patricia in 1959, and they were married in 1961. Bill worked for various firms in Philadelphia as an equity trader, retiring in 2004 after 45 years of service.

Although Bill worked very hard to have a successful career, his main focus was his family, and he took great pride in raising his four charming daughters who gave him ten magnificent grandchildren. Bill coached his daughters’ soccer and softball teams, and when he wasn’t coaching, was an ever present fan and supporter, cheering his daughters on to victory. His love of sports extended to the collegiate level, and he was an ardent Temple Owls fan.

Bill was an exceptionally generous man who showered his family with many gracious gifts, from vacations to education, wonderful family dinners and always sharing special memories with his loved ones. He was a dedicated father and husband, and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his loving wife, William is survived by his daughters: Tricia Cakanac and her husband Chris of Pittsburgh, PA, Kathy Everlof and her husband Gerry of Doylestown, PA, Elizabeth Hans and her husband Ken of Arlington, VA, and Jennifer Tinner and her husband Glenn of Newtown, PA; and ten grandchildren: Casey, Timothy, Kelsey, Kevin, Mackenzie, Kylie, Charlotte, Alex, Addison and Billy.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Tuesday from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am in St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland.

Military Honors to follow.

Interment will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Temple Owl Club, 1700 N. Broad St., Phila., PA 19122.
