Albert M. DiGregorio of Lower Makefield and formerly of Philadelphia died peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 90.

Albert was the beloved husband of the late Dolores “Debbie” Bisceglia DiGregorio whom he married on November 23, 1957 in Philadelphia.

Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the eldest of the three children of the late Isidoro and Giuseppina “Josephine” Taglialatela DiGregorio. He was the brother of the late Aida DiGregorio and Clara “Claire” Vassolotti.

Albert graduated in 1940 from South Philadelphia High School. He enlisted in the military and served as a Private First Class in the 34th Infantry Division, 5th Army, U.S. Army. He served in the North African and European theaters during World War II. He served in the US Army Field Artillery, US Army Signal Corps and US Army Infantry. He was awarded the Rifle Marksman Badge, and was awarded three times with the Combat Infantryman’s Badge (Bronze Star Medal), the European-African-Middle Eastern Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the American Legion for over 60 years and currently a member of post 440 in Newtown.

Albert was educated at the University of Florence and the University of Pennsylvania. He was one of the charter members and a past president who organized the Optimist Club of South Philadelphia in April of 1948. He has been a Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker and partner in I. DiGregorio & Son Real Estate since May 2nd, 1949. He was the developer of the community of Beltzville Lake Estates in Lehighton, PA. His greatest joy was spending time with his family in his mountain retreat by the lake.

Albert is survived by his 5 loving and devoted children and their Spouses; Albert M. DiGregorio Jr., Esq., and Andrea, Dr. Eileen DiGregorio and Jack Livezey, Carla D. Hendricks and Leonard, Dr. Robert A. DiGregorio and Paula, and Joan D. Young and Howard. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Danielle, Alexander, Joseph, Nicholas, Gianni, Mia, Victoria, Cara, Sophia, Matthew, Giovanna, and Christopher. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, October 15, from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Rd. Morrisville, PA 19067.

Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Healing Garden at St. Mary Medical Center c/o One Summit Square, Suite 300, 1717 Langhorne-Newtown Rd. Langhorne, PA 19047.
