Claire L. Parker, of Richboro, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Richboro Care Center. She was 93.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Helen Ella M. Lavin Lynch, and the beloved wife of the late J. Gilbert Parker.
Claire was a 1938 graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girl’s High School. She worked for an insurance company and Sears & Roebuck before her marriage in 1942, and was then happy to stay at home as a homemaker. She enjoyed home decorating, adding new rooms to her home and especially buying new furniture. Claire enjoyed clothes, and was always nicely dressed, with her hair and nails perfectly coiffed. An animal lover, she had a special place in her heart for cats, especially her dear cat Maggie.
Claire is survived by her daughter: Gail Parker and her husband Carl Weber of Philadelphia; her brother: George H. Lynch Jr. of Ohio; and her niece: Dr. Mimi Martin and her husband David of Indiana. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Madeline Lynch.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cat NAPS, P.O. Box 453, Gilbertsville, PA 19525 or Irish Setter Rescue, Attn: Deanna Cuchiaro, 34 Ridge Rd. Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
