George R. Hutt, III of Holland died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. He was 83.

He was the beloved husband and best friend of 54 years to the late H. Janet MacKrell Hutt.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George and Rose Mountain Hutt and the brother of the late John Hutt.

George has been a resident of Holland for 38 years having formerly resided in Philadelphia. He was a communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland. George was active in the Boy Scouts and earned his Eagle Scout rank. He was a graduate Drexel University, class of 1959 where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a veteran of the US Army. George was an Engineer with PECO in Philadelphia for over 40 years until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching his children and grandchildren play soccer, hockey, softball, swimming and dance along with quality times spent with his family especially his grandchildren while vacationing in Long Beach Island and Florida. George will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

George is survived by his dearest children and their spouses, Karen and Raymond McHugh of Southampton, Patti and Ed Cieri of Newtown, Lois and Brian Dudek of Warrington, and Kevin and Paula Hutt of Easton, PA. Also survived by his 9 cherished grandchildren; Matt (Lauren) and Shawn McHugh, Eddie (Gretchen) and Amanda Cieri, Chris and Carly Dudek, and Nick, Andy and Sidney Hutt and great-granddaughter Sydney. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Hutt of Philadelphia and his sister, Sister Mary Denise Hutt, IHM of Immaculata, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and celebration of his life Sunday, November 24th from 6:00-8:00pm and on Monday, November 25th from 8:30-9:15am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass 10:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
