James R. Seyler of Doylestown, PA died suddenly on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 64.

He was the beloved husband of Vojsava Carcani Seyler for 12 years.

Born in Dubois, PA, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Dorothy May Heberling Seyler.

Mr. Seyler lived in Rwanda for the past three and a half years before recently returning to the United States. He graduated from Penn State University with his Bachelor degree in Natural Sciences and Forestry and went on to receive his Doctorate degree in Biodiversity and Natural Resource Development from Michigan State University. Mr. Seyler was a government contractor who spent 30 years of his professional career outside the United States was employed by Development Alternatives Inc. for the last decade. For the past 4 years he was Chief of Party (Program Director) for Rwanda Tourism Development Project .

In his leisure time, he was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed forests and parks. He was a family oriented individual who always loved to travel with his wife and son while going on safari and taking trips to a favorite cabin in the Finger Lakes, NY. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his son, Charles Dylan Seyler of Doylestown, his two daughters, Karina Seyler and Molly Seyler of Seattle, WA and his sister, Rita Burger of IL.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 2:00 PM until his Funeral Service 3:30 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
