Joann Schaeffer of Newtown passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2014. She was 61.
Joann was the beloved wife of Joseph E. Schaeffer, as well as a treasured mother and an adored grandmother.
Born in Philadelphia, Joann was a daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Hatala.
A graduate of Saint Basil Academy in Jenkintown, Joann went on to work at La Salle University (Philadelphia); Stuckert & Yates (Newtown); Plakins & Associates (Doylestown); and Bonner Kiernan Trebach & Crociata (Philadelphia location).
Joann was immensely creative and enjoyed crafts of all kinds, most especially quilting, cross-stitch, and home decorating. For Joann, family was paramount and she loved spending time with her loved ones.
In addition to her husband, Joann is survived by her two children, Tim, and his wife Lauren, and Amanda. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Emily, and an expected grandson, due 12/1/14.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from on Friday October 24, 2014 from 10:15 AM until 12:15 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and to her funeral mass at 1:00 PM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Sisters of Mercy, 515 Montgomery Ave, Merion Station, PA 19066.
