Robert G. Horton, Sr., formerly of Holland, died on Sunday, December 29, 2013 in Heritage at Dover in Dover, DE. He was 93.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clarence and Sadie Sundal Horton.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ida Marie Maguire Horton.

Mr. Horton proudly served our Country in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant during World War II. He retired as a Supervisor at PECO after over 30 years of service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing & hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons: Robert G. Horton Jr. and his wife Alice of West Chester, PA, Ronald L. Horton and his wife Linda of Dover, DE and James H. Horton of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren: Robert, Allen, Jeffrey, Christopher and Kristen, and his great grandchildren: Colin, Sara Beth, Molly Anne, Abby, Emma and Rachael Marie. He was predeceased by his brothers Fred and Ralph Horton and his sister Dorothy Weiss.

Services for Mr. Horton will be private.
