Robert R. Hoke of Holland died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at St. Joseph Manor in Meadowbrook with his beloved wife at his side. He was 93.

Robert was the beloved husband of Carmella “Dolly” Campbell Hoke.

Born in Pontiac, Ill, he was the son of the late Samuel and Isabel Banks Hoke.

Bob grew up in Newport Beach, California. He attended College of Pacific, Stockton, CA; University of California, Berkley, CA; University of San Diego, CA; and received Government Pilot Training at Santa Ana Junior College, CA.

Bob served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was with the Navy Department for 32 years in executive positions specializing in Navy aviation. During Bob’s career with the Navy Department, he worked extensively with the Naval Air Systems Command in realignment of Naval Air Rework Facilities and establishment of aviation maintenance policy. He received numerous awards, including the highest civilian award for Superior Civilian Service. Bob retired in 1979.

After retirement from the Navy Department, Bob became a consultant within the military industrial complex. He was employed with DHD, Inc., as President of Field Services Group and was responsible for supporting weapons systems on various military aircraft. Upon retiring from DHD, Inc., in 1990, Bob resumed consulting within the industry, including Lockheed Martin Corporation.

Bob was a former member of the S.W. Hackett Masonic Lodge in San Diego, CA; the American Society of Logistics Engineers, and the Huntingdon Valley Country Club.

In addition to his beloved wife Carmella, Bob is survived by his children, Debra Gomez and her husband Luis and Perrie Mundy. He is also survived by his four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Bob’s family will receive condolences on Thursday January 2, 2014 from 11:15 am until his Funeral Services at 12:30 pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment with Military Honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
