Send Time to CalendarRonald S. DeMarino of Newtown died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving and caring family. He was 76.
Ronald was the beloved husband to Jane Hawthorne DeMarino.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Peter and Philomena Lanutti DeMarino.
Ron was long time resident of Bucks County having resided in Holland and Yardley before moving to Newtown. He had a distinguished career as a music industry Executive for MCA Records, Decca, Motown, Warner Brothers, Elektra, and Atlantic records, he processed a specific expertise in sales, music promotion, marketing, distribution of product and management. Ron was a master at his trade and was well respected by his peers. He contributed to the success of many top artists and received recognition from The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for artists such as The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Reba McIntyre, George Straight, Guns N Roses, and many more. In addition to his music career Ron was a fantastic drummer who played in a band “The Velva Tones”, who performed for all social functions in the area for over 25 years. Ron also had a love for classic automobiles and traveling for business and pleasure. Foremost, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and family man who put his family first in all endeavors. Ron will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him, he treasured the friendships he made through out his life and career.
In addition to his beloved wife Jane, Ronald is survived by his dear children; Sheri DeMarino of Gilbertsville and Ronald S. DeMarino and his wife Susan of Churchville. He is also survived by his brother Theodore DeMarino and his wife Denise and his 2 cherished grandchildren, Jake and Nicholas DeMarino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 9:30 am until his Funeral Service 11:30am on Monday, April 8th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, Pa 18954. Ronald’s interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931 or a charity of a donor’s choice.
