David M. Gilson of Newtown died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Pickering Manor Home in Newtown. He was 86.

David was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Joyce Hinchliffe Gilson.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late George and Frances Dudley Gilson and father of the  late Scott Gilson.

David was a former resident of Wycombe and the Village of Buckingham Springs before recently moving to Pickering Manor Home in Newtown. He pursued a distinguished career as a banker with various banks in the area and eventually retired as the Chief Financial Officer with Seafood Shanty. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing and viewing golf and was avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. David will be truly missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

David is survived by his children, David K. Gilson and his wife Elizabeth of Pineville and Kelly Moore of Riverside, RI. He is also survived by his sister Gail Gibson of Jacksonville, FL and  by his cherished grand daughter Bailey.

David’s family will receive condolences from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, April 13^th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Services and interment for David will be privately held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of a donor’s choice.
