Mary Anne Scanlon-D’Alonzo, 80, of Warminster died Sunday, March 31, 2019 at St. Joseph Manor in Meadowbrook surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Whalen) Scanlon and the sister of the late Patrick, Thomas and Joseph Scanlon.

Mary Anne was the beloved wife of the late Gill D’Alonso.  Mary Anne was the former wife and good friend of the late Joseph P. McLaughlin Sr. 

Mary Anne was a former resident of Warrington before residing in Warminster for over 25 years. She most recently resided at St. Joseph Manor in Meadowbrook. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and maintained close relationships with her extended family in Ireland. Mary Anne was a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Warrington and the Nativity of Our Lord Church in Warminster. She was extremely involved with her children’s lives and guided them as a loving mother. Mary Anne will be truly missed by her family and by all who came to know and love her.

Mary Anne is survived by her three sons; Joe (Kelly) McLaughlin Jr. of Glenside, Tom McLaughlin of Doylestown, and Dan (Erin) McLaughlin of Herndon, VA. Mary Anne is also survived by her 9 grandchildren; Sean, Ryan, Amanda, Riley, Bridget, Ronan, Magnolia, Joseph and James. Mary Anne was preceded by her son Edward.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings Friday, April 5th from 6:00-8:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and on Saturday, April 6th from 9:30am until her Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 W. Street Road, Warminster, PA 18974. Mary Anne’s interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to:NHS music boosters,Attn: David Bachart,New Hope Solebury HS,182 West Bridge St.,New Hope, PA 18938. This fund will be used to support the music department at one of her grandchildren’s High School.
