Audrey J. Burkhardt, a long time resident of the Pine Run Community in Doylestown passed away peacefully at her home in Pine Run on Monday, March 25, 2019.  She was 98.

Audrey was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Burkhardt who passed away in 1980.

Born in Richmond Hill, NY she was the daughter of the late David F. and May Belle Evans Rollo.

Audrey led a long career in the insurance industry, retiring from the role of Supervisor with Metropolitan Life Insurance after 40 years with the company out of their office on Madison Avenue in New York City.  She was a proud member of Daughters of America as well as the Plainedge Senior Citizens Club.  She was also proud to be a resident of the Pine Run Community where she was nurtured by the compassionate care provided to her as well as the countless friendships she developed over the years.  Audrey was talented at knitting and crocheting and took great pride in sharing her creations with family and friends.  She was also an avid card player and enjoyed playing various card games with her friends at Pine Run.

Most of all, Audrey was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured time surrounded by her loving family and she will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Surviving are her daughter, Janet H. Deiner and her husband, James, of Pipersville, and her grandchildren, Andrew J. and Kathleen S. Deiner.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 1:00 PM until her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will be private.
