Mary G. Yost of Chalfont passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 90.
Mary was the beloved wife of 70 years to Frank M. Yost.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Hickman and the sister of the late Arthur Hickman and Edith McGrother.
Mary was a former resident of Feasterville for over 20 years before moving to Chalfont in 2014. She assisted her husband Frank as Office Manager in their family business, Scottsville Carpet, for many years. Mary was a devout Catholic and lived her life and her religion to the fullest. She enjoyed travelling, classic movies and was a constant presence with her family especially her grandchildren’s activities throughout the years. Mary will be deeply missed by her family and by all who came to know and care for her.
In addition to her beloved husband Frank, Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Michael Yost and his wife Maria of Holland, Kevin Yost and his wife Kim of Lansdale, Gerry Yost and his wife Patty of Manahawkin, NJ and Dana Hartman and her husband Thomas of Doylestown. Mary is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, Christine, Colleen, Meghan, Gerard, Michael, Alex, Matthew, Juliana, Andrew and Zachary, and 7 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Luca, Gianni, Mario, Adrianna, Alexa and Mila, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 26th in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Mary’s interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the JDRF, Eastern PA Chapter, 555 Croton Road, Suite 111, Kind of Prussia, PA 19406.
