Rosanna V. DiLizio, of Newtown, died peacefully at Chandler Hall on March 5, 2019. She was 74 years old.

She was the beloved wife of Stephen DiLizio. The couple shared 52 years together. Born and raised in Chieti, Italy, where she met Stephen, they married in 1966. She bravely and selflessly left her family and country to follow Stephen to the United States. For this, Stephen is forever thankful. They were able to travel and live in many beautiful places, raising a wonderful family and meeting many wonderful friends.

As an artist, she loved to paint and made over fifty oil and watercolor paintings, as well as etchings on copper. Rosanna enjoyed cooking and wrote a family cookbook for her children. She also translated a book that was handwritten by her uncle while a prisoner of war in Germany during WWII. These will be treasured heirlooms for her family.

More recently, Rosanna was enjoying the golden years with her daughters, Maria Luisa (Mark) Lee and Tanya (Stephen) Bastian, and her 5 grandchildren, Mark, Jr., Sabrina, Rachael, Marisa and Sarah. She is also survived by her siblings, Isodoro Cappelletti, Maria Iannotti and Rachelle Pizzico; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 10:30am until the start of her Funeral Mass,11:30 am, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. Her entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
